NFFT’s Professional Coordination Working Committee holds online workshop session

The third online workshop session of NFFT’s Professional Coordination Working Committee, held yesterday, focused on the structural transformation of the health care system. Keynote speeches were delivered by dr. Gábor Boér, deputy state secretary for health care developments and dr. Ferenc Oberfrank, the director of the Institute of Experimental Medicine. NFFT and the National Framework Stragegy determines sustainability as the responsible use and management of national resources where human aspects are key and health care plays a crucial role. The COVID 19 pandemic has clearly shown the importance and vulnerability of health care. Hungary has started a long due structural transformation of its health care system designed to create a more uniform and efficient management of this sector and a patient-centred, transparent health care system. Both speakers agreed that if the planned changes are implemented consistently, they will make an impact not only in the long run but also in the middle term.

✅After the keynote addresses, NFFT’s members and experts expressed their need that this large scale structural transformation of the health care system should more actively involve not only professional organisations but also patient advocacy groups and highlighted the significance of healthy behaviours and education to promote a healthy lifestyle from an early age.
